Mid Michigan | Last year I had an odd thing happen with my Ruger 22, or so I thought. I had been out sighting in some 12 and 20 guage shotguns and the recoil and noise was outrageous. I had shot them many times and I decided to grab the Ruger and shoot some Remington Thunderbolts through it, I was shooting it and it seemed like it was cycling but I kept thinking it wasn't firing. I always use CCI ammo and it really seems to have a real snap to it and you know it's firing. The Remingtons were so lazy and had almost no recoil or noise. I thought for sure it wasn't even shooting. Walked out to the target and it had literally fired each time. Was a very strange thing. I think the shotguns had me so desensitized to how light the 22 kicked it made it seem like it wasn't even shooting.
