Starting at the front, black ace feederhouse silencer kit. Align the gearbox on the feederhouse. Put some hard facing on the lower transition cone to feederhouse tin work. Install a cone liner. Weld the plug holes in the side of the straw chopper and rebalance. Weld some sheet metal where the chopper throws everything going out the back. Put liners all over in the grain tank, hardface the bubble up and vertical unload auger, change the lower unload gearbox seal every few years if the combine spends a lot of time outside. Should cover most of it, I’ve added a few grease zerks as well

Sounds like you have it figured out.

It's a shame that it takes all that to make a machine work properly, when you look at what they cost.

I agree, but if they built combines like how I fix them they would never sell a part. Have 1k hours on my bubble up auger that I hardfaced and almost nothing is wore off it. In big yield country I bet a oem auger might make 500hrs. Bubble up tube is 3k from case and they do wear out, I put a liner in and there is some wear on the liner but it’s got a lot of life yet. Much cheaper and easier to address the problems early before they turn into issues in season when combining.
