Near-north Ontario, French River | Curt I think you just answered your own question from above ... ie "why is everyone clutching". I agree that the only time you need to clutch is when starting out, after that its just a matter of floating the gears, but as you just pointed out you also need to demonstrate that you use the clutch for shifting when taking the driving test. If you arent able to shift smoothly while using the clutch you may just fail the test, regardless of whether or not you are proficient at shifting without the clutch. |
