| Better check the pins that adjust the height of the snout on your head. Rep told us there is a high frequency vibration that causes the pin to be "sawed off" & the snout will fold under. Temporary fix is to use a bolt instead of the safety pin. Our head has been over about 600 ac & the pins are already beginning to show some wear.
I agree, the frame work on the snouts doesn't look to be much more than conduit. Maybe that's not so bad as I would hate to think how much more we would tear up when a snout gets turned under. Usually have to replace or straighten everything in front of the row unit. Once we even bent the row unit frame :~((. Luckily we were able to heat it & get it straighten out. | |
