Subject: RE: Chopping corn head in irrigated corn

Lottsburg VA
I'm sure the rotodisc could get expensive but I have ran mine over between 1100 and 1200 acres of corn every year for 5 years now, I did replace the front rotary knives and hook knife this year and I think they were around $32 per row on sale this winter as a kit. This is a 12 row head and the discs themselves look really good still, when it is time I should only need the first 3 discs per row so price shouldn't be too bad per acre of running, I have not put a single other part on this head except for one gearbox dipstick that I stripped out being in a hurry.
