Ummm Hmmm.

Tell ya what. I had some parts drop shipped back in the spring. They came from Indy if IIRC. Anyway... with the parts, I got the customs manifest with NH's declared value on the items in question.
The declared value? $15, presumably USD. My price? CAD $75. Now... the dollar wasn't at par at the time, but that's 500% simply on the numbers. Probably 400 % when you factor the dollar.

I do realize that they would declare the parts at the lowest possible value. I know I would. I do realize that there are costs to NH to inventory parts, move parts, etc. The dealer also has costs... BUT there is still a very, VERY healthy markup in parts.
Even my parts man was a little bit taken back when he saw the price.... BEFORE I got my hands on the customs manifest. Some things are just a bit much.
This just happened to be a set of slip rings for a ZF transfer case on a 10 series Ford... something that NH would be very happy to never hear about, ever again.
