Hey, gol darn it.  You came through Ashley and didn't look me up!!  And I've still 100% of my corn out yet.  I'm hoping to take my yellow combine out to the corn field next week.  Beans are done.

Sheep Herder..... You are at Ashley huh? Good old town down there!!!
Been years now..... but been to Ashley a few times in the past.Uncles more reciently used to drive down just to get butchershop meat/ suasages, ect and Erv's home make German kugen and baked goods before that went away. Before moving to Dickenson,my BIl worked for G&G, was the water comish, worked in the bakery a while and sister taught there for years.(Nice School there at the time too!.) I dont know how things are now, but it was one of the few places left at the time that when you came into town, folks were talking German in the stores, cafes, ect.Made me feel right at home there since i grew up with that. Ashley just seemed to hang onto heritage longer that other communities did. .Today German and Norweigen languages are a lost art in the state.
