I have a friend who had a 9530 catch fire twice last fall because of leaves and trash build up. He got fed up with Deere's attitude towards the whole situation and traded it in with 200hrs on a new Steiger 535. I know this 'kit' is standard equipment on the larger new 30 series articulateds now, I don't know about the smaller 4WDs though.
