The 6 cent cost is bulk manufacturing cost. It is why India and Mexico can provide the masses with it for early treatment and preventative for exposed family members. It is cheap and easy to manufacture.
Sorry, was trying to be snarky, but been long day.
He made me laugh on the cost comparison. He gets right worked up about some of this because it appears obvious to him what is going on - that the cheap, save and effective ways to help people are being actively disregarded and even disparaged and instead $$$ is being made. It's not that he would not want those companies to make money, just that this is a major issue that perhaps $$ should not be the first consideration when we could be helping people.
