I don't waste my time with the  "hate" emotion. I've got better things to do.

I can say though, find fault with my last post. Any part of it illogical, untrue, etc?? 

You are right there is absolutely a 'different' pricing structure, and I think throughout everyone of my posts I have pointed that out.

Had engine rebuild at dealer, $4500+.   Less than 40 hours out of shop engine smoked. Found out vacumm booster line directly into cylinder 6 had been broke/cracked during engine rebuild, was not fixed, told "field ready".  dealer refused any responsibility in vacumn line, 2nd rebuild $2800 + for new liners pistons rings etc.. in cylinders 5 and 6 as dirt had worked it's way to #5 cylinder.

Had reman engine put in tractor,, $6000+  with 15 hours on tractor after reman put in,, clutch won't work, got tractor stopped,, looked all bolts between engine trans only finger tight.. engine/transmission had seperated 1/4 inch.  I could turn every bolt with my fingers!  Called shop explained shoddy mechanics work.  Got to looking,, shop had not bothered to put in new air filter, external hoses in engine area were loose, bolts on cowling, loose.  As were several misalianous (sp) bolts between engine fan, bolts on hydraulic lines- loose.  Dealer did send out a mechanic to tighten up engine-trans- bolts and install new air filter. Was charged for service call and new air filter.  Mechanic would not check rest of bolts on tractor. Found out later,, they had replaced the clutch but had put in the 'cheapest' clutch possible, has not worked properly sense. Didn't 'bother' to call during rebuilt and ask if I would want "good" or "cheap" clutch parts, just put in cheap ****!  Dealer would not take tractor back to shop and fix correctly in spite of me asking them to.  Yup, was charged for hauling both ways.

Oh, this was for a small 4 cylinder JD engine.  I understand the dealer has to make money,, and guess what,, I do too.....

Kinda odd how that works eh?   Dealer's want loyalty??  well that is a 2 way street, lane going in each direction.

Now,, about that "value" thing...  I'm having trouble seeing it,, (I admit I'm half blind and can't see krap if it's closer than my arm length)  Please !! point it out to me.

I can say, the bills at the dealer has been cut in 1/2 over last 2 years.....
