Soutwest Ks. | This reminds me of a Gleaner promotion done in the mid 80's where Gleaner hosted a field day in a wheat field with their new machines and Deere, Massey and IH also on hand to drive and compare. If I remember correctly they brought a N6 along that was the sixth built of the N series and they had installed all the improvements that the newer machines had to show how they had made these ole smoke belchers reliable. It started up with a huge belch of smoke and fan fare and ran for 10 or 15 minutes till it was quietly shut down because of mechanical failure of some kind! LOL Not quite ready for prime time, I guess! | |
