Menards sells the cheapest crap they can get their hands on.
I would rather pay more for quality materials from a local lumber yard.
I have a buddy in construction sales. They could not figure out how menards could sell the “same” window so cheap. Deconstructed both windows, the menards one was missing the interior aluminum bracing that keeps the wind from blowing threw.
Steel can be ordered in paint thickness, galvanization and metal specs. Get what you pay for.
