Subject: RE: Gleaner N6 help

Behind the big bottom sheave that drives the rotor gearbox is the pulley that drives the distribution augers and a bunch more stuff. The belts are probably bottoming out in this doublebelt pulley. They must slip a bit during normal use because we changed this pulley a long time ago and now at 2400 hrs this pulley is worn out again on our N6. You have to take a bunch of stuff apart to get at these belts and pulley but once you done it once it's pretty easy. Use only Gleaner belts on here. If your front feeder plugs and makes the slip clutch slip a lot the back of the hub behind it can wear and exaspirate the problem. This may have been eliminated on later N6's.
