The same can be said for the job market.
The union employees could individually find new employment if Deere is that bad without collectively holding Deere hostage.
Deere could replace all of those workers right now if they wanted to. It’s entirely on them for not doing so.
I’ve never quite understood why people don’t view the labor side of this as the very capitalist enterprise that it is. They are wanting to charge what the market will bear for their product no different than Deere does for their equipment.
Your dealer doesn’t have to accept your offer on a piece of equipment, just like you don’t have to accept their listed price. Deere doesn’t have to accept their price
