We run a 7810 and 7830. Like them both. Don't lug the 7830 and get the valve lash set every 2k hours. I like the auto quad plus on ours. Left hand reverser on it sucks, way too jerky. Hydraulics will likely be a big improvement, but I find the cab more noisy. Also keep 2 sets of fuel filters on hand for the 6.8 engine in the 7830. It chews through them about every 100 to 150 hours for us.
