There's a near monopoly on farm machinery manufacturers in the USA because you won't shop around. Keep on blindly buying Deere and they won't change. If you shop around, you'll keep them honest. But you won't, so don't complain.
We own very little Deere equipment but that doesn't change the fact that there is effectively 4 manufacturers of Combines & Tractors.
There is very little shopping around to do. Everything is priced to be "competitive" in a segment that has very little competition.
