The Internet

7200R - 10/26/2021 13:18 You have your line built to model quick change. It's done all the time in other industries. Jigs, robots, parts flow all adjust to the machine being built. To have a line to build 7 and 8 series is easily doable. The automation of that line would mean they don't have to sweep (clean) out the line to switch series.

I'm 99% certain that Fendt build all of their wheeled tractors on the same line, from the 1050, down to the little 200 Vario. And I think they just get built as the orders come in, so your 1050 might follow a 200 down the line. Same at the Massey plant in Beauvais. There's no building batches of tractors.

It's probably relatively difficult to automate much of the assembly process on a tractor line, because they are built in relatively low numbers and are so vastly different in terms of design and specification.
