deep SW On.
Here , Gman and 7200 and others can correct , the actual pension for union auto worker from the 'big 3' is based on x month per employment....

I know some guys retired yrs. ago are still getting just 600 month from company ......

Union pension for 30 yrs., 65 yrs old is i believe around $2,000 month cdn. + u collect around $1,200 CPP (canada pension plan which u and employer paid for) and $600 OAS (old age security)....so approx. $3,800 pension before taxes.....net around $3,300 a month ....

Which works good for somebody retired 0 debt, nice home, car......August home prices in Windsor averaged around $550,000. gas is $5.50 for a US gallon

Chrysler the biggest employer went from 3 shifts to 2 , in spring to 1 ----add feeder plant jobs and next summer there will be a lot of 'hurt'....

I am pretty much non-union but nowdays maybe more non-company as locally Heinz closed plant after 100+ yrs., sold to investor group, cut wages, benefits by 40% , and still bottle and make Heinz products in same plant ---thanks Mr. Buffet
