Subject: RE: Deere wants $800 for a touch screen repair

Missouri

Kevin,

Your help is what I needed on the turn on and turn off times.  Now I wish I could plant something to be able to get it set!  Thanks for taking the time to find the links and explain it to me.  I printed out the reference from the links you provided and will make good use of them.

I will try to get a quote tomorrow from the repair folks and see where that goes.

My dealer rep called me today and basically re-confirmed Deere's position on the repair and costs ($800).  He hadn't called in a few weeks and I wondered if it wasn't because of my posting here last night.  Probably someone caught it and notified him.  This site is a pretty powerful tool in many ways.

Since I haven't been encouraged to convert to Trimble yet, I will assume I'm on the right track and try to get it repaired.
