South Dakota | I first injured my back as teenager, fifty some years ago. During mid eighties I ruptured a lower disk by lifting improperly. No surgery. I have found some chiropractors could help the pain, others did not. If they do not make a big improvement the first visit do not return to that one. Six or seven years ago a doctor told me the American Heart Assn was dead wrong about what you should eat. I changed what I eat and do some aerobic exercise. I try to eliminate sugar, white flour, hydrogenated oil and manufactured food. I try to have vegetables and fruit raw or just warmed up. Nuts. I put animal fat in my diet: bacon grease, lard and cream. Eggs. Fat satisfies my appetite so I can eat smaller amounts of food and less often. My weight dropped 40-50 pounds. My blood pressure dropped. My occasional headache went away. My back ache went away. My cholesterol dropped. My blood sugars dropped. My good cholesterol increased. My endurance increased . All with no medicine. I find animal fat does not make you fat; refined food and sedentary life style do. The type of cholesterol in animal fat is needed to repair and build cell membranes in your body. Those who oppose animal agriculture and would have people live on only grain and other plant things will disagree with my comments. | |
