Tuscola, IL | The machine can definitely detect a foreign substance in the tank. What I’m not sure of is where the def quality sensor is and whether it detects it in the tank or when it’s flowing through the system. If it’s when it’s flowing, you should be fine because it won’t be flowing in your situation. If it’s in the tank, JAnderson has the solution. Drain the tank and fill with 2 1/2 gallons of fresh DEF before the start of the season.
