We had something similar happen on of our 8240s. After it sat for a few hours, it needed to be bled to start it again. We were ready to change the lift pump, and then we noticed a cracked fuel line hose. it is right under the fuel tank by the water separator filter, by the fuel shutoff valve. Changed it on all 3 machines. It was totally cracked out and was a disaster waiting to happen.
