Crop insurance price for canola sucks, and it’s edible bean rates expensive to boot. Canola takes about as much N as corn, and more sulfur. I’m not very smart so I raise a few acres of canola for rotation, don’t want the risk of burning combines up with flowers. Our higher salt ground I am trying a barley/canola rotation and it’s been way better then wheat/soybeans.
