I think it should work. The secret is not to put in more than you are willing to scoop out by hand. Dad ran a small amount of dirt through a Schwartz (same concept with horizontal auger instead of conveyor) to fill a raised garden bed. My vote of confidence isn't an offer to help scoop it out if it doesn't work.
