Sunnyvale, CA | The EZ-Guide Plus uses the antenna to implement offset to compensate for the distance between the antenna and the implement to know when to issue the headland warning message. the value used is the distance to the part of the implement that you wish to do something about when it crosses the headland.
there is a small drain on the battery if the EZ-Guide Plus left on all the time. also it will automatically go into a standby mode and partially power down (GPS receiver to off!) if not touched for a few hours. you can turn off the power save mode by going to the about menu item and pressing the up/down arrow until you get to power save and turn power save off. then it will be always "on" and not go into standby. In standby it will still drain your battery, not advisable either way, unless you are only talking about a 4 or 8 hour break in operation. | |
