| This tractor is a 2012 with a 1000 hours that was a lease tractor initially. Then the 2nd owner bought it for a tax write off and used it very little. After I had it for a couple months it threw this engine fault code.
But no fault codes came up on the tractor. And 2 came up when the first NH tech hooked up his laptop and they were 1) low voltage and 2) software needed updating. So we put new batteries in it and the tech updated all the software.
Drove it a few days and the Engine Fault code reappeared, but this time when the tech came back out, no codes appeared on his laptop when he ran his program. So he told us to drive it because the tractor is fine. After driving it for a couple days it went off. Then the idler bracket came off because its bolt snapped and now the Engine fault code is back.
My dealer is awaiting a response from NH. In the interim, I talked to another NH dealer and he says he sees that code appear with alternator issues. Who knows? I am talking to my dealer tomorrow. I think I liked it better when we pulled those old 8700s and TW25s into our own shop and just started wrenching on them. | |
