If you have those big skid plates on...ditch them. The original ones were white plastic with a steel plate, the newer ones are black all plastic. Both are useless so toss them. Two on each end, two on each side of adaptor. I would also remove the bracket for the end ones as it would be a great place to snag a rock or stump.


So what your saying dirt is dirt tends to settle right about that skid shoe and bracket, therefore it's being fed into the draper as it turns on that idler roller.
Cause what I'm seeing on our draper heads, everytime the draper is plugged with dirt, it's always plugged right at the idler roller.
