North East Kansas | Thank you so much for your helpful response. I would love to hear more after you combine some more dry corn with it. We usually shell corn between 15-17% since we don't have storage and live right down the street from a huge elevator. Your experience seems exactly like mine. We owned one of the very first series ones. Heck, we almost agreed to be a dealership, but decided we already had plenty to do. The lead researcher at the time was a friend of mine, and he loved the drago performance. We have only owned drago since they first came here to America, but have seen some issues and you always wonder how the other heads are getting along. Deere has demoed us some combines and heads, and they honestly weren't leaving much behind their head or machine either. Quite a few original drago owners in our area were pretty glad when they finally got to move on to a new brand of head because they had a lot of the same issues we had also. Im kind of hoping the GT fixes most of the issues that ours has. I also know that its expensive to rebuild dragos, but we can do that and probably run trouble free and happy for another quite a few years. Thanks again for the response. Agtalk is usually so helpful, but I noticed so many responses seem to just assume Im a novice with our corn head that we have run for so many years. Instead of helpful responses like I usually get, I got so much accusatory stuff. You have no idea how much a I appreciated seeing your helpful and well thought out response! | |
