I do wonder if the variable speed would be super nice. Our combine does have the 2 speed option, but the first speed seems really good for anything up to 4.5-4.8 mph. The higher speed seems to be quite a bit faster, and can butt shell more. I think the higher speed takes more of a jump than we need. We just like being able to go 5.2 mph when we can.
