Subject: Driving lights for van

Alberta, Canada
My 1998 GM mini van has poor headlights. They got really bad because the plastic housings leak and gets moisture in. The are not cheap so I bought some head light housing on ebay and put them on. Its better now however they are still crappy compared to my other vehicles. I also tried some expensive bulbs but they didn't help. Heck even my old '90 chev s10 has way better headlights. I think the problem is the design of the headlight housings themsleves.

It has the factory fog lights on it that come on only when the low beams do which work not bad. But I'd like to have some sort of drving light I can rig up that will come on when my high beams do for driving down the dark country roads at night. I swear my old '97 Ford pickup puts out more than twice the amount of light this van does.

Does anyone have any experience with driving lights? I see some are pretty small now that would fit on ok but do they actually work??
