Subject: RE: Gleaner S98 transmission update

Southeast Washington
It was on this hill. Who needs brakes anyway. It ended up bending a couple shift rails and only affected 2nd gear. Just run in 1st and 3rd on a new combine with a little slope they say. It didn't happen on a first round like this and this is an S78 the year Gleaner stopped by to video cutting peas in hills. They left the day before this pass.

The brakes won't hold and we wished they were outboard disc like the R72 but all manufacturers have gone to inboard brakes. Just turn into the hill. Something we try to be prepared to do at all times.
