| I realize the 2588 is a bit different machine but we found in very dry conditions we set the concave so it was even with the grate(4-5), ran the rotor at 550, fan at 900, chaffer about 3/8 and drove as fast as we could pick it up. The thrashing is done before it reaches the rotor. The result is material moving thru the rotor more quickly, material being lifted off the sieve rather than sifting it and even loading of the seive. More acres/hour and less loss. | |
