Im not talking about yield at all. He was talking about why harvest is behind last year. I have 104d corn planted April 23 that according to the pioneer gdu calculator should have been blacklayered 2 weeks ago. Chopped silage on Sunday. Today the crop adjuster was out and it is still 3/4 milkline. The heat we have had this year the only thing I can think of is those hazy days have slowed the corn crop down. I honestly have no other answer for it.


If you were short on moisture, that can delay maturity on today's hybrids, because they tend to wait for rain, to a point.
