KS | The key to nutsedge control is not allow it to germinate. It should not be too much of a problem in wheat due to it being a summer annual as noted. I can suppress it in the spring with a 2x rate of gly but the real control comes from max rates of metalachlor or equivalent material. Check the label for max rates for the season and use that as recommended thru the growing season. Early applications allow the herbicide to be in place when moisture and conditions will be favorable for the nutsedge to germinate. | |
