thinkstoomuch - 9/13/2021 16:58 On the idea that deep ripping resets soil density to the tilled depth only to make the compaction depth set deeper, I have began to wonder if those heavy use area need to be left alone of special treatment to prevent the medicine be worse than the symptoms. In one of my worst compacted field entrances I have tried exactly that deep ripping for a couple years and the problem keeps getting worse. I have debating if I shouldn't leave that area in grass as returns don't exceed cost on that small areas.
