750tt here with a 2008 geringhoff northstar. I would not buy another unless theyve make serious upgrades. Ill be trying drago next.
Plenty of complaints but the main ones being pulling in too much trash, to the point it jams rows and fluff piling up at the back of the snouts and the auger not pulling it in.
What are your other issues?
We previously had a 8r30” Northstar on 7010/7120 combines before switching to Lexion. This was from 07-11’. We had some issues with the head but nothing terrible that I can remember.
We looked both heads over a couple times at the progress show today and are leaning towards the Geringhoff with their new Extended Decomposition stalk rolls. I think today was their official release of these and they are basically an OEM version of the Calmer intermeshing chopping stalk roll. |
