Pittsburg, Kansas | Merc was the original manufacturer but the drug is 40 years old and generic. Merc is working on a similar drug for covid that will be expensive and make them lots of money.
It is to their monetary advantage to discourage a cheap,effective, generic drug in favor of bringing out their own solution. You will not find a for profit drug company promoting a cheap generic alternative.
