Subject: RE: Shoup Parts

Ross County, Ohio
For me it's a mixed bag. One neighbor bought new augers for his JD 9600 combine back in 2005. The tank fill auger started to throw it's flighting within 500 acres. He had it rewelded and it was fine. The other augers were alright. He said they didn't last quite as long as oem, but it wasn't really that far off. They were well worth the price in his opinion. My dad and best friend owned identical Haybuster 107 drills back in the mid 90's until 2006. They put nearly identical acres on them as the helped each other for years. We rebuilt them one summer. Dad put oem openers and bearings on his, and the neighbor put shoup on his. The neighbors drill lasted not quite half as long on it's rebuild as dad's. The shoups parts were cheaper, but not near half as cheap. I've used several parts from shoup, and I've had very little trouble. I think it depends on the part and application it's being used for.
