In our experience, most things are lesser quality.  However, that doesn't mean it isn't still a deal.  For example, Deere openers would last us a season and a half, while Shoup openers would only last one season.  Shoup was the better deal because we replaced every year anyway.  No way were we going to stop in the middle of planting to put new openers on.  We had similar experience with rasp bars when we ran walker machines.  At just over 1/3 of the price of OEM I'd say Shoup is a no-brainer.
