Looks like you would not want to try that in corn stalks, thought about building something similiar with less shanks and coulters, I am a fan of a parobolic shank which will heave the ground a little and also easier to pull, probably get a traction advantage from the parabolics as well, we do have hardpan here and i don't think 14" would get it.
