Independence OR
I have a 942 gen 6 and a 1050 gen 1. Both are great tractors. It depends what you want to do with them. The 942 is a much more nimble tractor. It’s slimmer and turns better, also has more clearance under it. I see the 1000 series more comparable to a large 4 wheel drive tractor. It’s a great tractor for hard pulling applications. If I want to pull a bailer or a seeder or planter I would go with the 900 series. With the 942 it has the power to pull big loads, but it is lighter and has shorter tires than the 1000 series. A 1042 will out pull it I’m sure. They do look very similar, but they are very different tractors.
