Sioux County, NWIA | I doubt the OP’s problem is trash buildup on the windguard. I have encountered that and if it happens, 99% of the time the only way to get the baler to wrap is to stop, dig out all the trash, and proceed. Attempting a re wrap like the OP is doing will not only not work, it makes the problem worse. As a note for anyone who encounters this, if this happens, push the baler harder. Need to allow less time for the bale to be turning in the chamber.
As far as fixing the problem of the net not starting, tinkering with dwell time didn’t really cure the problem. In the end, the only real fix is to lengthen the tail and adjust the net brake release accordingly. The problem with the factory adjustments and recommendation is that they are apparently based on “normal” operating conditions; the OP is operating way out on the far end of the spectrum, and that is what our “normal” is. | |
