Nebraska | Blue Heelers are the only dogs we have ever owned. Good with livestock, good with kids, very loyal, they can be protective of kids when strangers are around. We have had them since I was a kid and have never seen one take after anyone, or bite anyone but when we have people pull up on the place they see the dog and some are afraid to get out of the car. The dog will sit a distance away from the car and bark just to let you know someone is there. When I say they are good with kids we have three boys ages 2, 4, and 6. If you can't find the boys when they are out playing holler for the dog, see which way he comes from and head that way and they will be there every time. Good luck in your search | |
