So how is your electric generated? Electricity has transmission losses as well.
Last time I checked, some years ago, it was surprisingly close on cost. A lot depends on year.
Electric here has different rates based on the amount of control you are willing to live with. Anytime control (max of 12 hours/day) with a hot dry summer, better hope you have no pivot problems. I will gripe about electric cost, but will not convert electric to another fuel source. I have one half circle pivot on wheels only, that is a mistake, way too high per acre for the convenience.
