NE SD | As lot of these guys say put it on the outside and I used to be of that same mindset. Not so much anymore. Our building is steel so it sits on 4' stem walls which meant the office needed to also. I think the increased cost all said and done we could have made the shop 20' wider and just built the office ourselves over time on the inside.
The reason I don't like it is because here the wind blows the snow in from 40 miles away and you can always bet on there being a huge drift in the corner where the office meets the shop. That doesn't happen near as bad on a square building. The reason we WA Ted the office on the outside so bad was because our old shop was extremely crowded for the size equipment we run and it had a smaller office and can on the inside that only made it worse. | |
