Hennepin, IL | I know even the windmills that are going up now they only claim to have a 20 year or so life expectancy. Kinda comparing apples and oranges when comparing their life expectancy to your truck for example. How old are the windows in your house? Hot water heater? Furnace? All things that sometimes no matter how well they are taken care of, it just makes more sense to replace even if it isn't worn out. I'd love to see some truly unbiased numbers on the energy it took to produce those windmills compared to the power they produced in that 15 years. Both total input/output and the dollar figures of the energy required/produced. The problem is, windmills and solar panels have gotten so politicized, everyone has their own bias. | |
