Hagen Brothers farms,Goodrich ND | I suspect those old wind turbines are obsolete, too small, too inefficient, too unreliable, so knock them down the cheapest way possible and recycle them for scrap..
This kind of reminds me of a story on the history channel about steam locomotives built in the early to mid 1800's. They said almost no examples of early locomotives exist, because the technology of steam loco's changed so fast that most were scrapped before they were 5 years old, they were worth nothing more than scrap metal because the new designs were so much more powerful and much more efficient, more reliable. I suspect the same process is quickly eliminating the early, inefficient, less reliable wind turbines, replacing them with much better new and larger designs..
Why spend the time and money to carefully disassemble something that in the end is worth only the salvage metal it's made from ?? Knock it down the quickest and cheapest way possible and get to replacing it with something better. |
