Southwest Illinois | In 2012 we had virtually no fields zeroed out in Southern Illinois. I know there were some but nothing wide scale. I have a friend who shelled 320 acres of corn that year with two twelve row machines and they thought it might fit on one truck. It didn't but the 2nd truck only had the front hopper half full. We were lucky and caught a few showers and had a lot of 30-40 bushel corn. Unfortunately you only get about 2/3rds of it because so much shells at the head. It sucks. My hope is you guys all have enough insurance to pay the bills and move on. | |
