not familiar with the 'mail' item but can't you create a template and print it off? merge and format your boxes for the fields of text and proper placement & alignment so you can pick the box, start typing and it will take care of the rest. The formatted template can be defaulted into a tab on each new file you open as a standard new document starting template as an example.
