northeastern Ohio | Tech checked it out today. Unbolted the actuators from the shifting rails. I worked the button in the cab while he watched. Both moved, but one didn't sound right. He ordered a new actuator to be here tomorrow.
With the actuators disconnected, he then tried to shift the transmission by hand. One rail is easy to shift. That is the one that is working. The other one cannot be moved by hand, but with a pry bar it can be moved. I think it should shift easier, but he wants to try the new actuator before digging deeper.
He then reconnected everything and tried to do a trans calibration with his laptop. It would not calibrate.
He also called support. The guy there said that the shift buttons on the console should light up to tell him what gear it is in without looking at the monitor. None of the buttons lit up. There are three buttons: Neutral, downshift, upshift. He said at least one should be lit if it is in gear. I don't remember them ever being lit up before. | |
